Job Description:  The Unit Clerk is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Care Center nursing station in a compassionate and confidential manner. The Unit Clerk provides clerical and scheduling support to the Care Center nursing staff. The Unit Clerk welcomes and directs residents and guests of the Care Center.

Competencies and Requirements:

*Be organized and accurate with the ability to multitask.
*Maintain a courteous and professional manner through interaction with others.
*Uses discretion in handling confidential information, incorporating all Federal, State, and local privacy and confidentiality requirements.
*Use a resident and customer-focused approach to problem solving and goal setting.
*Competent with the use of a computer.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office.
*High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent education.
Prior general office experience, knowledge of medical terminology prefferred.
