  • Provision of quality home nursing care while demonstrating fiscal responsibility and maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates communication of information relevant to the patient care process
  • May schedule patient care staff, receive referrals and physician orders and performs patient visits and all appropriate documentation to the management and provision of patient care.

Requirements Clinical Manager

Requirements for Clinical Manager includes:

1.      Current and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse specific to that state the   employee is assigned to work by the company.

2.       Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) documents the following: The mutual recognition model of nurse licensure allows a nurse to have one license (in his or her state of residency) and to practice in other states (both physical and electronic), subject to each state’s practice law and regulation. Nurses must legally reside in a NLC state to be eligible to have a multi-state license.      

3.     Three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse.   One of those years must consist of full-time experience in providing direct patient care in the home health setting.   One year supervisory/management preferred.

4.     Two (2) years home health experience preferred.

5.     Current CPR certification.

6.     Able to assess patient status and identify requirements relative to age specific needs.

7.     Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

8.     Demonstrates knowledge of Federal/State rules and regulations, ACHC standards, and other regulatory requirements.

9.    Demonstrates strong fiscal planning and management skills.

10. Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.

State Specific-QUALIFICATIONS

-Colorado State Specific:

7.7 Nursing or healthcare supervisor

(A) The skilled nursing services furnished shall be under the supervision and direction of a physician or registered nurse who has at least two (2) years of nursing experience including one (1) year in home care or a closely related service. Other healthcare services shall be under the supervision and direction of a physician, registered nurse, or other licensed healthcare professional who has at least two (2) years healthcare experience in the field of supervision including one year experience in home care or a closely related service.

 

-Illinois State Specific:

            1.          Is a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.   BSN preferred.

 

-New Jersey State Specific:

            "Nursing supervisor" means a registered professional nurse who has at least one of        the following qualifications:

            1. A bachelor of science degree in nursing and two years combined community health    nursing and progressive professional responsibilities in community health

            nursing; or

            2. Three years combined community health nursing and progressive professional            responsibilities in community health nursing.
