Our El Centro office is expanding its Behavioral Health program and is in need of Psych RNs to handle cases in various locations in Imperial County , CA .  

 

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH NURSE (Psych Nurse) – El Centro, CA

 

POSITION SUMMARY :   The Psych Nurse is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality patient care with a specialty in the area of mental health.   The position combines the activities of direct and indirect care provided to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.    The Mental Health Nurse directs CHHA, CNA, LVN, and RN staff regarding patient care activities, performs patient assessments, develops patients care plans, evaluates patients care plans’ effectiveness, modifies as appropriate, and documents all patient care as appropriate.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS :    This position requires a current California license as a Registered Nurse with 2 years recent acute psychiatric experience.    A MSN in Mental Health Nursing and special training, education and experience would be considered and reviewed on an individual basis.    The selected individual must have a current CPR certification and sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks, as required.    The selected individual must also possess a valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance and registration.
