Community Liaison / Marketer

ABOUT AMERICAN ELDERCARE:

American Eldercare, Inc. is both a provider of Florida's Long Term Care Diversion Program and a Home Health Care Agency with Medicare certification and accreditation by The Joint Commission. American Eldercare, Inc. operates in more than 23 counties throughout Florida, and continues to expand as a result of its reputation and experience in both Long Term Care and Home Health Care sides of the business.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for marketing and sales activities of operating unit, including promotions to increase awareness of services by referral sources, obtaining contracts to provide services, and others.


FUNCTIONS:

  • Market home health services to physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners, case managers and other potential referral sources.
  • Represent home health in trade shows, community forums and other large group presentations, to increase awareness of agency services.
  • Prepare or assist with preparation of sales materials, including brochures, displays, and others. 
  • Develop a marketing plan that includes specific goals and budgets to meet such goals.
  • Network and/or participate with community groups and case management organizations to promote service use.
  • Maintain statistics on sales activities to report results of efforts to Administrator; Completes periodic reports on marketing activities.
  • Complete hospital or rehab facility chart review and/or other investigation to provide timely referral and intake information to agency.
  • Assist the agency, as appropriate, to contact case managers or other gatekeepers to initiate process for prior approval of home health services.
  • Provide information to patients, families and others on services available through Medicare, private insurance, private pay and other third party resources.
  • Provide information to Administration on community needs for expansion of home health services.



EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of two years of sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Home health or health care sales preferred.


 JOB KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge base appropriate to assignments.
  • General understanding of home health services
  • Knowledgeable regarding marketing techniques and ability to impact sales, computer expertise for tracking contacts and preparing reports.

 
OTHER:

  • Good organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate understanding of customer service when dealing with others.
  • Work effectively with the care team.
  • Presents acceptable professional marketing appearance.
  • Communicate effectively in individual or group meetings.
