Company Profile

Holiday Retirement Corporation is North America's leading provider of independent retirement communities (American Senior Housing Association, 2007).  Holiday Retirement was founded as Holiday Management in 1971 by William Colson and was acquired by Fortress Investment Group in 2007.

Each community is designed with a focus on creating a physically, emotionally, and mentally satisfying lifestyle for residents.  The facilities are not assisted living homes; rather, residents either live independently or hire their own attendants.  Holiday Retirement offers over 300 locations throughout the United States and Canada, with new communities opening up frequently.  The company’s growth can be attributed to one single, overriding focus: its residents.  While others may provide facilities for senior living, Holiday Retirement provide an enriching lifestyle in which each resident is treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

Holiday has a distinctive culture which runs throughout the organization and is what makes Holiday a unique experience for its residents as well as its employees.  It is a culture that separates Holiday from its competitors.
