The Supervisor, RN, Crisis Care Services works with the Crisis Care Manager to run the daily operations of the department. Collaborates with the Manager to hire, retain, and counsel staff. Duties include the orientation and training of new staff, daily RN field visits and the direct supervision of LVN and CHHA Crisis Care staff under the guidance of the Crisis Care Manager. Responsible for supervision and scheduling of patients and staff to ensure coverage for all appropriate patients. Responsible for all aspects of Crisis Care billing and revenue. Assures compliance with regulatory and organization standards. Assists the Manager with the identification and implementation of process improvement projects and department education. Computer proficiency and the willingness to travel all over San Diego County is a requirement of the job.
Education: Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing, who is currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of California. Must possess a valid CPR certification. Bilingual abilities preferred.
Experience: Requires a minimum of five years experience as an RN in acute care, hospice or home health and have demonstrated prior supervisory experience. Must have an expert understanding of the principles and practices of home health care nursing. Requires an expert understanding of interdisciplinary health care teams, and knowledge of the dying and bereavement processes. Bilingual abilities preferred. Possess basic knowledge or aptitude to operate a computer, knowledge of basic software programs is preferred. Current California Driver’s license and automobile insurance required.
