Executes and develops strategies to meet or exceed compliant operation and expansion of the Long Term Care (LTC) product within a specified State or Region.  Provides program leadership and development, and initiative for growth and expansion of LTC product.  Facilitates problem identification, solution development and initiative implementation to drive execution of program. 

 

Essential Functions:


  • Drives, manages and executies the LTC program that may interface across multiple functional areas, and liaise with external constituents as needed to build relationships or deliver results.

  • Oversees and directs the operational aspects of the LTC program.

  • Achieves business results as directed by State leadership.

  • Performs strategic planning and annual forecasting activities for LTC product.  Assesses market dynamics, competitive position and operational performance. 

  • Builds or enhances relationships with providers and community based partners to support company mission and create compliant opportunities for growth within the state.

  • Takes the appropriate actions to ensure compliance within all areas of the LTC business.

  • Evaluates sales, contracting and operational processes for "best practice" development across LTC program.

  • Partners with operational team which includes analytics, enrollment, provider relations and authorization.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education:  A Bachelor's Degree in business administration or a related field or equivalent work experience. Master's degree or relevant experience preferred.                           

 

Experience:  15 years demonstrated experience in strategic planning and development, product managment, and financial management.  Proven track record of leading organizations through teamwork, collaboration and open communication.  Experience in a health care or managed care environment preferred. Experience working with regulatory/government affairs preferred.        

 

Special Skills (e.g. 2nd language): 

Strong strategic mindset and ability to balance marketplace requirements with the objectives of program

Strong influencing skills and ability to manage indirectly (i.e., cross functional project teams)

Superior verbal and written communication skills

Ability to negotiate with a variety of stakeholders

Capable of networking with internal resources as well as external partners and consultants

Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities

Ability to remain calm under pressure and to organize tasks and work environment.

 

Technical Skills/Requirements:  Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.  Quantitative analysis and financial modeling capability needed
