Core Responsibilities:

This position provides for a high level of customer service to both residents and team members. This is accomplished though promoting Westmont Living’s Service Promise and Service Standards. This position is responsible for directing, controlling, managing, and effectively assuring that the following core functional areas are operating at maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Ongoing independent judgment and discretion are required.

Management

The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring the ongoing management of the full and complete operation of the assigned Westmont Living Community. Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 Directing and managing staff through effective recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, counseling, performance reviews, discipline, scheduling and terminations. Evaluating team members to perform their duties in an exemplary and professional manner.

 Directing and leading monthly team member meetings. Directing and leading daily management stand up meetings to discuss census and residents and a weekly management team meeting to discuss the overall operations of individual departments.

 Directly managing and supervising the directors and managers over the core functional areas of business services, culinary services, resident care, community relations, community maintenance, resident lifestyle, and Compass Rose memory care.

Marketing

The Executive Director oversees and directs the marketing efforts for the assigned community and ensures that local marketing efforts are alignment with Westmont Living’s marketing approach.

 Maintain budgeted occupancy levels with appropriate residents for the community

 Develop professional Contacts within the greater community

 Monitors marketing standards to ensure a minimum standard is achieved each week.

Resident Care/Compass Rose Memory Care

The Executive Director oversees and directs the care of residents in the assigned community while continually demonstrating Westmont Living’s Service Standards to ensure optimal resident care.

 Work with families and residents to address their concerns about service and/or care issues.

 Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with (list the regulations).

 Monitor and ensure proper assessment, placement and care of residents.

Culinary Services

The Executive Director oversees and directs the culinary services while ensuring that appealing and nutritious menu options meet residents’ needs.

 Adhere to the budgetary dining plan and maintain standards and procedures to optimize buying practices and reduce food spoilage and waste

 Ensure inventory is controlled, staffing scheduling and budget effectively managed.

 Ensure all health and safety standards are followed.

 Ensure meals are prepared using approved menus, recipes and other supporting materials

 Ensure the residents dining experience is optimal and that the team adhere to the Westmont Living service standards when interacting and servicing residents.

Physical Plant/Maintenance

The Executive Director oversees, directs, and ensures the proper maintenance of the assigned community and the accompanying grounds.

 Ensure safe environment for residents and team members.

 Ensure timely response to all maintenance requests.

Regulatory Compliance

The Executive Director is responsible for regulatory compliance with all governing bodies.

 Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and city, county, state, and federal regulations for operations, resident care, dining services and maintenance.

Human Resources

The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing human resource compliance at the assigned community.

 Ensure all employee issues are addressed in line with company policies and procedures.

 Participate with Westmont Living corporate human resources on ongoing strategic planning related to human resources issues and the assigned retirement facility.

Service Standards

The Executive Director is responsible to ensuring that Westmont Living’s Service Standards are followed.
