The National Training Specialist facilitates compliance and product training for WellCare-contracted producers on a national scale.  Performs assessment of learners.  Performs instructional design in development of training programs and acts as a project lead on training initiatives and producer communication pieces.  Strong focus on teaching CME Marketing Guidelines and best sales practices.

 

Essential Functions:


  • Able to manage large training group dynamics with professional, clear and captivating training style encouraging audience participation

  • Reviews all programs assigned and continuously ensure they meet the rigorous standards that are set forth by WellCare and CMS

  • Produces professional color presentations and training materials using MS Word, PowerPoint and other desktop publishing software

  • Project management activities will include coordination of projects, teams, training events, producer-facing communication pieces and collaborative efforts between producer clients, their hierarchies and National Distribution team

  • Communicate effectively to training audience the dynamics of  WellCare's products, compliance with industry and regulatory standards for sales practices,  producer code of conduct other key operational areas

  • Maintenance and development of training programs will include, instructional design, needs assessment, and curricula development with strong emphasis on CMS Marketing Guidelines and best practices

  • Training administration activities will include: tracking and trending training data, interpreting data, and implementation records management system

  • Training documentation activities will include: review of training materials and curricula, revising training policies and procedures, and designing changes to training documents

  • General training support activities include: decision making accountabilities, evaluation of training programs for effectiveness, analyzes performance issues to determine proper intervention. 

  • Continuous improvement and training leadership activities are a focus for this position

  • Multiple delivery methods including small group and classroom training, WebEx and self-study courses for compliance and product training.  Trainer will spend a significant amount of time traveling on a national basis


 

Education/Experience:


  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or directly related equivalent work experience


  • 5 years facilitation with 3-5 years in sales training. 



  • Health insurance or carrier experience a plus



Technical Skills/Requirements: 


  • Proficient in writing professional self-study books and scripted lessons

  • Proficient in MS Office including Word and PowerPoint to produce medium to highly complex presentations

  • Proficient in MS Outlook and Internet research.

  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat a plus.

  • Skilled as a public speaker and/or seminar leader
