Westmont Living, Inc., a premier provider of retirement living, assisted living and memory care has opened a brand new community in Morgan Hill, CA, where people come first; it is not about being big, but about being good. Our new community is a “state of the art,” 86 apartment senior residence offering retirement, assisted and memory care living.

 BASIC FUNCTION/DUTIES:

This position is responsible for:

  • Transporting residents to and from various locations such as: medical appointments, shopping, banks, activities and social events
  • Completing bus safety check daily, prior to driving bus and assures cell phone is always available and fully charged
  • Maintaining accurate and current safety documentation for safety checks
  • Keeping bus clean inside and out
  • Assuring preventative maintenance procedures and documentation is completed per maintenance schedule
  • Informing Executive Director in writing of any mechanical problems
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current valid driver’s license for state in which bus is operated in. At least a class B driver's license. (Commercial Driver’s License if bus has more than 14 seats)
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations or serious accidents within the past three years
  • No one shall drive the bus who has every been convicted of driving under the influence
  • Capability to direct and support all residents on bus
  • First Aid Certified
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Drug and alcohol free test; able to pass criminal background check prior to initial presence in the Community
  • Must be easily adaptable to stressful situations
  • Provide return demonstration for safety procedures and awareness prior to operating bus
