Responsibilities Responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of innovative active aging programming and strategic alliances for assigned communities and markets. Ensures that all assigned communities offer lifestyles that help residents optimize their independence and engagement in life.  Coaches Engage Life Directors on engagement strategies resulting in quality, customer satisfaction, and business growth.  Supports Operations, Sales, Marketing, Public Relations and the Active Aging team in all aspects of resident engagement quality, strategic alliance, and sales growth.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions):
The following essential functions are the fundamental job duties of the position to be completed with or without appropriate reasonable accommodation.
? Plan, develop, evaluate and oversee the implementation of resident programs with an emphasis on engagement and active aging.*
? Stay current in active aging trends and research.*
? Innovate, create and generate industry leading programs that serve as a sales point of difference in assigned markets and nationally.*
? Create, implement, and promote physical and cognitive fitness lifestyles for older adults including evidence based programs.*
? Lead implementation of Engage Life programs for residents with cognitive impairment.*
? Work closely with Life Guidance Program Directors where applicable to optimize continuity of engagement for all residents with dementia.*
? Program to existing spaces within a senior living community in order to help residents optimize independence and an active lifestyle.*
? Champion the benefits of a healthy and engaged lifestyle with residents, employees, referral sources, and the public.*
? Ensure that exercise/fitness programs are safe and effective for older adult population.*
? Serve as a company spokesperson on key active aging topics and initiates visibility by presenting at meetings, lectures, and conferences regarding on a range is aging issues.*
? Assist in the orientation and training of new Engage Life staff including policies, procedures, best practices, national programs and strategic alliances.*
? Set community program development goals in partnership with Operations.*
? Champion the Engage Life Program Instructor staffing model as core strategy for quality and customer satisfaction enhancement as well as sales growth.*
? Plan, organize, and implement marketing and community education events that promote active aging and the benefits of engagement in later life.*
? Champion and foster professional development and lifelong learning in self and others.*
? Continually recognize Engage Life staff for innovation and performance achievements.*
? May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications ? Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent in gerontology, exercise science, recreational therapy, health education, physical education, behavioral health, public health, wellness coaching, fitness or related field.  Master’s degree preferred.
? Proven understanding of the dimensions of wellness and the benefits of engagement for late life happiness and subjective well-being.
? Minimum of four years of multi-site experience in developing and implementing engaging programs for older adults designed to optimize independence and engagement in life.
? Experience and demonstrated success in orientating, training, and coaching active aging professionals in a functional leadership capacity.
? Strong computer and technology skills.
? Organized and results oriented. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 
? Strong sales and presentation skills.
? Knowledge of and demonstrated success in implementing exercise prescription, wellness programming and health education for older adults.
? Knowledge of and demonstrated skill in supporting older people and their families with the transition from home to senior living environments.
? Proven ability and understanding of how to efficiently and effectively manage budgets and business expenses.
? Knowledge of the role of environment in optimizing wellness.
? Required Travel: 95%
