Job Description: 

Position Summary:
Provides direction and supervision to the dining room staff to ensure a high quality dining experience for Residents and guests. Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates dining room staff and implements polices and procedures for service of food. Works with cabinet team to provide assistance and support for special functions and outside catering events.
Key Competencies:
* Well developed human relations skills with experience in interviewing/selecting, evaluating, training, coaching and motivating staff
* Well developed social skills, training skills and personal standards appropriate for the proper operation of formal dining operations and interaction with residents.
* Systems oriented, energetic, friendly and possesses excellent communication skills with sensitivity to the needs of older adults.
* Financial acumen to manage budget.
* Basic skills in Microsoft Office and experience with a POS system.
Education and Experience:
* Education: High school graduate required. College degree in related field is preferred, (Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business).
* Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in quality Food & Beverage operations management in a high quality restaurant, hotel, country club or senior living company with demonstrated knowledge of all current service styles and techniques and working knowledge of budgets and reporting.
* Licensure / Certification: Possess or be willing to obtain Food Handlers certification, as require
