Job Description: 

The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for all aspects of managing care and services provided in our Care Center (Assisted Living, Memory Support and Skilled Nursing). The ADON supervises the nursing staff and assists the Director of Nursing with clinical, financial, human resource, and quality assurance/performance improvement activities. The ADON also serves as a resource for the entire community regarding residents' cognitive and functional ability.

The ADON is responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, evaluating and disciplining employees. Responsible for documentation compliance and identifying, reporting and striving to correct deviations from safe practice. Participates in resident and family education and counseling.

Must possess knowledge of regulatory compliance and Continuing Care Retirement Community operations. Complies with "on-call" requirements, as applicable and responsible to cover shifts as a staff nurse, when required.

Graduation from a School of Nursing for Registered Nurses. Minimum of three years experience working with the geriatric populations. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Current State Licensure in the State of Illinois.
