Job Description:  This position is responsible for oversight of the Company’s Health & Disease Management initiatives: disease management, case management, utilization management, and health and wellness. This position is accountable for developing, recommending and implementing, through leadership and directing the Disease Management, Medical Management and Healthier MS teams and collaboration with the Physician Advisory team, operational plans and strategic projects that are aligned with Corporate strategic objectives and business goals. It is the responsibility of the Director to ensure the vision and strategy of the Health & Disease Management department are always aligned with overall corporate strategies.
 
Job Specific Requirements:
 
·        Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited university is required. Master’s degree in business or health related field desired.
·        Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed in the state of Mississippi with at least 3 years of clinical experience preferred. 
·        At least three years of management experience in a healthcare setting is required. 
·        Experience in Health and Disease Management is desired.
·        Thorough understanding of healthcare/managed care industry, provider reimbursement methodology is required. 
·        Proven communication skills and a quick and analytical thought process with a superior ability to verbalize in a tactful and persuasive manner is required. 
·        Excellent planning, problem solving, analytical and project management skills required.

·        Ability to document and organize work product to demonstrate conformance with corporate or regulatory compliance requirements.
·        Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and departments across the company.
·        Ability to review regulatory/industry issues and, together with knowledge of internal operations, recommend a course of action for corporate compliance.
·        Must have the ability to handle people and complex situations, defining problems and solutions quickly and effectively.
·        Must have the ability to handle information and projects of a confidential nature.
·        Must have the ability to handle large-scale projects effectively.
·        Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills to ensure exact communications with employees at all levels within the company.  
·        Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships to encourage trust and open communication between departments.
