| Job Description: |
Provides consultation, training, analysis and advice to assigned facilities within his/her area of responsibility. Performs standardized facility visits to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and Company policy and procedures. Monitors, consults, and makes effective recommendations for modifications to existing facility processes, systems, policies and practices which assure efficient, effective and compliant performance. Develops action plans and assists facility management in overseeing implementation. Serves as key member of district team.*Current RN license in the state where consultation is provided.*Three to five years of clinical leadership experience in a long term care setting, with facility consultation and/or management preferred.*Proven ability in the consulting process including an ability to discover needs, define and present solutions and provide supportive and effective follow-up.*Current knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and other case mix payment systems.*Knowledge of Federal and State regulations.*Understanding of clinical management systems including business systems, budgets and resource management.*Must have a good working knowledge of the RAI process.*Competency in current clinical software system.*Understanding of clinical issues related to patient liability losses and risk management.*Proven decision-making and analytical skills.*Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance.*Proven written and oral communication skills.*Working knowledge of computer technology and systems.*Able to relate positively, favorably and cooperatively with others, including other employees and personnel of outside agencies and organizations. *Able and willing to travel extensively and work on-site in numerous facilities. Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record.*Capable of maintaining regular attendance.* Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.* Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
