  • Responds to telephone, fax, and orders from referral sources and patients. 
  • Documents referral request for coordination of care. 
  • Provides information on home infusion services. 
  • Demonstrates professional etiquette and courtesy when interfacing with customers. 
  • Resolves patient/customer complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action.
  • Complies with and adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures and "best practices".
  • Initiates the admissions process for patient referrals by collecting demographic and insurance information on patients over the phone and acting as the primary contact for new and existing accounts.
  • Investigates type and level of insurance coverage to assess patient eligibility for the program.
  • Communicates with medical professionals and insurance company personnel to expedite patient eligible into program.
  • May resolve reimbursement issues with accounts, sales force and management.
  • Completes data entry in CPRS to ensure accuracy of reporting and outcomes.
  • Investigates data entry issues to ensure accurate reporting and billing.
  • Monitors computerized reports to avoid delays in customer billing information.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required. 
  • At least two years related experience is required. 
  • Successful completion of Coram's Admissions Certification Program.
  • Organizational, verbal, written communication skills are necessary.
  • Computer ability.
