Job Description: 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensuring the company has an effective and efficient field operation with corresponding metrics to measure productivity and other parameters of performance.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions of the Position):

1. Operations

a. Directly supervises Care Center Managers to maximize operational and financial performance.

b. Ensures that operating systems are in place throughout the field organization.

c. Responsible for day-to-day operations of the field locations in sales, staffing, recruiting, and customer service.

d. To establish and/or maintain excellent working relationships with payors, providers, key business leaders and Medicaid State agency personnel.

2. Business Planning and Analysis

a. Establishes annual budget and profit targets and reviews monthly updates.

b. Develops business plan documents summarizing key objectives and plans for field operations.

3. Strategic Planning

a. Provides strategic input and leadership on issues affecting operations.

4. Performs special projects as directed by the Sr. V.P. of Business Development.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

? BS in Business or Health Care Administration; MBA desired.

? Minimum of five years of related progressive experience in an operating environment in home care or other health care organization.

? RN licensure is desirable

? Experience in both large and small company settings.

KNOWLEDGE:

? Budgeting process

? Business development, including use of sales and marketing

? Geographic territory

? Continuous improvement processes

? Recruiting

? Employee performance management

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

? Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office, including Outlook.

? Leadership skills indicative of an ability to develop new ideas, express opinions, take prudent risks, and favorably impact the business.

? Intelligent and articulate with the ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization.

? Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high ethical standards.

? Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal/external customers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/DEMANDS OF THE POSITION :

(Travel, Physical Demand, Dexterity, Mental Demand, Working Conditions)

? Travel : Position requires business travel in excess of 60% and valid Driver’s License.

? Physical Demand: Light physical effort. For example, standing, bending, or stooping for extended periods, operating light office equipment, e.g., personal computer, copier, fax machine, etc., manually handling medium weight materials and/or equipment (0 to 10 pounds).

? Dexterity: Light dexterity, e.g. using data processing equipment, long periods of standing/sitting, etc.

? Mental Demand: Moderate to high degree of concentration due to volume, complexity, and/or “pressure” of work.

? Working Conditions: Conditions having moderate exposure to such elements as heat, cold, noise, fumes, dust; exposure may involve up to 20% of work hours.

? Accident or Health Hazard: Exposure to more serious injuries, such as eye injuries, hernia or occupational disease, which are not incapacitating in nature.
