POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing support to assisted living communities as necessary to ensure the safety and well being of residents and to achieve compliance with company policies and procedures, State and Federal regulations and clinical standards of practice. Promotes the Company's core values of respect, integrity, commitment, and trust.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Works with Executive Directors and Health Service Directors in the screening of applicants for nurse management positions.

2. Provides orientation and training to community management including Executive Directors, Health Services Director and Resident Care Manager on company policies and procedures, State and Federal regulations.

3. Assists with the development and revision of clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with State/Federal regulations and current standards of practice.

4. Assesses community compliance with company policies/procedures and State/Federal regulations. Provides education, system implementation and monitoring, and development of performance improvement plans in conjunction with Executive Directors and Health Service Directors to promote positive resident outcomes.

5. Assists with training licensed nursing and nursing assistants as requested by the communities on company  nursing policies and procedures and State and Federal regulations.

6. Provides support as needed through the survey process including assistance with preparation for survey, writing the plan of correction, developing an action plan, and monitoring for compliance.

7. Works with Central Support staff developing and implementing action plans to assist community departments achieve compliance as needed.

8. Completes and submits visits reports and audit results to the Regional Director of Operations and the Vice President of Clinical Services.

9. Attends the Central Support and other corporate meetings as requested.

10. May be assigned other duties.

Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residents' families, visitors and staff. All information obtained in the field, or at Central Support, is kept strictly confidential.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Current registered nursing license.

Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations and the survey process.

Working knowledge of the Resident Assessment process.

Must have at least five years experience as a Health Service Director in a Assisted Living Facility.

Have a current driver’s license.

Ability to work with a team, be self-directed, organized and flexible.

Ability to travel – “road warrior" - >80% of time is spent in Prestige communities.
