We are looking for an experienced and detail oriented Director of Hospice with at least 3 years of management experience for our San Pablo, CA office. The ideal candidate must have experience managing an interdisciplinary team, being accountable for patient care functions, and for delivering quality patient care.

Some of the duties of the Director of Hospice will include but are not limited to the following:

* Provides help in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family/caregiver care to all clinical hospice staff as indicated.
* Interprets operational indicators to detect census changes and increases or decreases in volume that could impact staffing levels, revenues or expenses.
* Makes appropriate hiring and/or termination recommendations and notifies the Human Resources Department of staffing needs.
* Assures for the quality and safe delivery of hospice services provided through the company.
* Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel and, maintains compliance to the CHAP Home Care standards.
* Effectively implements metrics to measure Hospice Department performance. Is competent to review satisfaction survey results to identify opportunities to improve services within the company.
* Responds to requests for review from outside agencies. Is competent to review and duplicate patient clinical records legally requested by regulatory and/or legal bodies.
* Uses effective leadership skills to motivate and support Hospice staff members.

Minimum Employment Requirements:
* Current California RN license;
* BSN from an accredited program, MSN preferred;
* Current BLS;
* Current California Drivers License;
* Must have proven leadership ability with 3 years of clinical experience in hospice;
* Skill, caring and compassion to coordinate, implement and evaluate hospice services as evidenced by positive outcomes;
* Experience assuring agency compliance with local, state, federal, government regulations and CHAP standards.
