Benefits of Targeted Recruitment Advertising
- Of more than 6,000 recently polled business professionals, nearly 54 percent agreed that geographic and industry-specific job sites are most effective when searching for a job. [EmploymentMetrix.com]
- According to Borrell Report, nearly two-thirds of the Internet job market was controlled by industry-specific sites during 2008, up from less than 40 percent in 2006.
- “One of the things we are always looking for are industry‐specific job boards. What we are finding is that the industry‐specific job boards deliver on their marketing promise to provide better-qualified candidates than the big boards. Even the big boards are trying to segment their space and create a quasi‐industry‐specific approach. The big job boards are difficult to maneuver to find the jobs that are of greatest interest. Industry‐specific Job Boards eliminate the clutter you encounter when you look for sales positions on sites like CareerBuilder and Monster. If you have ever searched for a specific position on the big boards, you know you usually get cluttered results.” [From an article by Hire‐Sense, Thursday, July 17th, 2008 9:59am]
- “You are a lot more apt to find companies that are serious about hiring and know exactly what they want at the industry‐specific sites,” says Ms. Rempel, now a manager at iWin Inc. [From an article in Career Journal, Tuesday, May 15, 2007]
- “If you put the right jobs on the right industry‐specific board, you can get a better return on your investment than broadcasting your jobs to the big, general boards,” says Ray Schreyer, Manager of Internet Recruiting at IBM, Inc.
