I have been working with hospice for a few years now as an independent referral from the nureses or patient family friends. NA administer meds under supervision of the nurse and so you may have to go in as an aide unless you plan on nursing degree because in home that is what is needed other than social worker and chaplain.

Military takes only those only nurses who have BSN or higher degrees. So, your friend needs to have it to make it there.
